The videos on this page are historical records of family events, shot with the trusty family 8mm film camera. Almost all of the footage was shot by James Pulliam, my father, which is why it is so rare to see him in them. A record of our life in the 60s and 70s.

Opening Day Hal Moe Pool 1972

The city of Snohomish opened a community pool in 1972, with three Pulliams (Jim, John, and Jan) featuring in the opening ceremony.

Snohomish Little League 1977

In 1977, Snohomish Little League (12 year olds) won the County Championship and advanced to the state tournament in Centralia. Jeff pitched and caught in the tournament, including hitting a home run.

Purnels – A Family Story

The story of my grandmother’s family and her somewhat eccentric father, Harry Purnel, Idaho farmer and witness to the famous Dalton Gang robberies in Coffeyville, KS.

Snohomish HS Band – Europe

A touching sendoff to the Snohomish High School band as they pack the bus to the airport on their way to the Montreux Jazz Festival. Includes brother Jim, Ed and Sharon Peterson, George and Phyllis Nowadnick (including a redfaced Kurt), and lots of kids too young to recognize.

420 Kids Show

Vignettes of childhood. The Pulliam clan as filmed by their intrepid father Bud, with nonsense title guides added for good cheer. All the music has not been paid for, so enjoy it while you can.

Griffin & Ariel – From The Edge (Wedding)

Guerilla coverage of Griffin and Ariel’s nuptials, featuring Tarantino tribute and J.A.’s unusual take on videography.

James Allan Pulliam Memorial Video

A nice bit of cinema celebrating James Allan Pulliam, 1955-2014, with his family and friends.

Marilyn Marie Pulliam

In 1933, with one of the first Kodak home cameras distributed to the public, Allan Clark took some footage of his daughter, Marilyn Marie, and through the years captured a generation growing up.
