The videos on this page are historical records of family events, many of which were shot with the trust family 8mm film camera, and mostly shot by my father, which is why it is so rare to see him in them. They are snapshots in time, of an earlier age, which makes them endearing, nostalgic, and (I hope) long lasting documents of the Pulliam family in Snohomish, Washington.

The city of Snohomish opened a community pool in 1972, with three Pulliams (Jim, John, and Jan) featuring in the opening ceremony. This video includes Jim Price, Billie Jean Knutson, Verla Ervin performing a series of aquatic lifesaving techniques for the adoring crowd.

District champs travel to Centralia after winning their local tournament. Starring Jeff Pulliam, Oran Searles, Tom Cable, Doug Elders, and a whole bunch of other sixth graders.

The story of Harry M Purnel and his family from his early childhood in Veedersburg, Indiana through his witnessing the infamous Dalton Gang bank robbery in 1892, and eventually settling down on the family farm in Council, Idaho.

Loading up the bus ready to travel to Europe in 1970. Lots of familiar faces from Snohomish, including two Jim Pulliams, the Nowadnicks, Bill Kusler, Fil Gudmundsen, and both Sharon and Ed Peterson.

The semi-fictional adventures of the 420 kids–Jim, John, Jan, Jeff and Jay. With Princess Pat, Bud the Photographer, Marilyn, and a host of relatives and friends.

An unconventional take on Griffin and Ariel’s wedding (my son and his bride), including a Quentin Tarantino tribute and the inevitable fumbling of the camera by the groom’s father.

Tribute to James Allan Pulliam, my brother, killed in 2014 in a work accident.

In 1933, soon after my mother Marilyn was born, my grandfather Allan purchased a Kodak film camera and began documenting her life via 8mm film. This video showcases Mom at all the different stages of her life through the 1980s.
